Love the whole concept with our. New bikes
Journey - the only cruiser style electric bike out there
We got the Journey bike for my dad and he's been able to go through hills in my neighborhood with ease. The frame is a bit bigger than we thought, however, the build quality is great and the battery really helps with the hilly areas. I have contacted the customer service once regarding some missing info from the user guide and was satisfied with the info I got. Overall, I would recommend this company/product based on my only purchase through Costco.
Fantastic bicycle, excellent value
I have been shopping for a long time for the right e-bike. This bicycle checked all the boxes at a fair price. Here are some comments after several rides. The design is well thought-out. I especially like the motorcycle-shaped handlebars. Frame size, seat position and handlebars are perfect for me, 6'2", 200 lbs. The 9-level pedal assist is responsive and well balanced, a throttle is unnecessary. The combination of the 7 speed derailleur and 9 pedal assist levels is very flexible. I particularly like, also, that the battery is hidden inside the frame with a nice large charging port. The bike is well accessorized and even came with a tool kit. I would like to see the top gear on the derailleur higher for going downhill, you pedal much too fast or must coast. I think the 30 mile range is reasonable; however, it's important to pedal and not waste the battery. That's where a balance between the derailleur, pedal assist levels, and pedaling becomes important. For me, it's the perfect solution for our tough hills which unfortunately occur at the end of my rides going home. The hills are effortless now. This is a bicycle that was designed very carefully. The owner's manual could be a bit better but nothing to be concerned about. At least they proofread it. All in all, a great product.
Well made bike, good value.
The Journey is well made and easy to put together. Good quality with parts that fit together quite well. There are many hills where I live and this bike's motor is strong enough for most of them. However, I have two issues with my bike - missing two screws to hold the splash guard onto the front fork. Rear blinker have broken tabs and won't stay on. I have contacted customer service and will see what they say. Overall, this would have been 5 stars if not for the issues.
Bike is great, battery ok, no jetson support
I love having an electric bike- it's really fun to ride and the price was very competitive. I like the features that it came with the speedometer and kickstand and lights. However, I contacted jetson 3 times with NO response for how to attach a bike trailer. I eventually figured it out- but the battery range is under 20 miles with a kid in the trailer. still better than trying to cycle without the pedal assist.
