About the Role:

The Controller will be a key member of the growing Accounting & Finance team. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Managing all aspects of accounting; billing, financial statements, general ledger, cost accounting, payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, monthly closing and reporting; balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, tax compliance, inventory accounting, cost accounting, revenue recognition, and various special analyses.

  • Advising on financial analyses and decision-making regarding capital investments, pricing, contract negotiations, significant costs, benchmarks, and other matters with CEO and CFO.

  • Monitoring and confirming financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.

  • Overseeing AR and AP processes and providing leadership and support to AR and AP accountants.

  • Supervise reconciliation of Factor’s Statements with AR aging and General Ledger.

  • Monitor Production Vendor’s payments and Factor’s advances on POs.

  • Improving efficiency of administrative processes.

  • Preparing quarterly and annual financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.

  • Complying with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree and at least 5 years of professional accounting experience.

  • Experience with ERP systems, EDI, and QuickBooks is a big plus.

  • Understanding of wholesale and retail is ideal.

  • Experience managing AR and AP Accountants is necessary.

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational, and tactical skills.

  • Incredible degree of patience and ability to think clearly and strategically in ambiguous situations.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – you’re a self-starter and drive things to conclusion.
