Warranty Policy

Our Customer Promise + Warranty 

 

Above All Else, Tru Ride Tech, LLC (“Tru Ride Tech”, “us”, ”our” or “we”), operator of the Jetson brand (“Jetson”), is dedicated to you, our customer. We strive to make your experience as pleasant as possible. Unfortunately, there are times when a Jetson product (“Product”) does not work or breaks under normal operating conditions. We think it’s important that you know what you can expect from us. That’s why we have a Limited Warranty (“Warranty”) for our Products. 

Our Warranty: Tru Ride Tech warrants new, genuine, powered and non-powered Products to be free from defects in material or workmanship when used for ordinary non-commercial use for the Product categories and periods specified below from the date of purchase or delivery (“Warranty Period”) by the original end-user when purchased from Tru Ride Tech or from one of Tru Ride Tech’s authorized sellers with proof of purchase. Because Tru Ride Tech is unable to control the quality of its Products sold by unauthorized sellers, unless otherwise prohibited by law, this Warranty does not cover Products purchased from unauthorized sellers. If you have any questions about how to buy from an authorized seller, please chat with us. If your Product does not work or there’s an issue with a specific part that is covered by the terms of this Warranty, Tru Ride Tech will elect to either (1) send you a free replacement part for a do-it-yourself (DIY) replacement, (2) replace the Product with a new or comparable product (which may include a refurbished, like-new product) at no charge, or (3) repair the Product. How cool is that?  

Product Registration: Tru Ride Tech strongly encourages you to register your Product. You can register here, or by chatting with us. Failure to register your Product will not diminish your warranty rights. However, registering your Product will allow Tru Ride Tech to better serve you with any of your customer service needs.  

When you register your Product with Tru Ride Tech at ridejetson.com/pages/product-registration, you will have the option of purchasing extended warranty coverage beyond the standard manufacturer’s warranty. Extended warranty coverage is provided through Extend, Inc. Additional charges apply. 

Who Can Seek Limited Warranty Coverage: This Warranty is extended by Tru Ride Tech to the original owner of the Product. 

What Is Not Covered? This Warranty does not apply if the Product has been used commercially or for non-household or rental applications. This Warranty also does not apply if the Product was purchased from an unauthorized seller. This Warranty also does not cover cosmetic changes that do not affect performance. 

Tru Ride Tech is not responsible for any labor costs you incur relating to DIY parts replacement service.  

We encourage you to use CERTIFIED AUTHENTIC Jetson replacement parts + accessories. Damage caused by the use of any other parts + accessories on your Product will not be covered under the warranty. Genuine parts + accessories can be found and purchased on ridejetson.com. 

Warranty Period 

  1. Traditional Bikes (Kids & Adults) - The following components are warranted for a one-year term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Gears, Crankshafts, Chains. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein.
  2. Electric Bikes - The following components are warranted for a one-year term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Gears, Crankshafts, Chains, Electrical Components. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein.
  3. Electric Scooters (Kids & Adults) - The following components are warranted for a 180-day term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Electrical Components. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein.
  4. The following products are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein: Kick Scooters, Hoverboards, Go Karts, Non-Electric Ride-Ons, Kids Electric Ride-Ons.
  5. All authentic Jetson Accessories, Spare Parts and Replacement Batteries are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein. Third-party accessories sold by Tru Ride Tech are not covered by this warranty, but rather they are subject to the manufacturers’ warranty of that third party.
  6. All Certified Remanufactured Products are warranted for a 90-day term as set forth herein. 

*Wear Parts. Parts that wear over time with regular use. Regular maintenance can extend the life of your Product and particularly wear parts, but even so, Wear Parts typically must be replaced at some point. Wear Parts include but are not limited to: Bearings, Bearing, Braces, Tires, Tubes, Saddles/Saddle Coverings, Seats, Brake Pads/Shoes, Pawls, Free Hubs, Wheel Braking Surface, Spokes, Grips, Cables and Housing, Bushings, Kickstand, Bells, Baskets, and Other Attachments. 

Return or Disposal of Product 

Tru Ride Tech may require that you return or dispose of the Product. 

  1. If a Product return is required, Tru Ride Tech does not provide return shipping boxes or packaging materials. It is the customer’s responsibility to properly package and ship the covered Product to Tru Ride Tech to avoid damage during shipping.
  2. If Product disposal is required, Tru Ride Tech may require that the customer provide proof of disposal of the product in a form as required by Tru Ride Tech as a condition of receiving a replacement Product.  

There are no warranties which extend beyond those stated herein.  Any implied warranties that may be applicable to Products, including implied warranties for merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose, are limited in duration to the duration of this Warranty.  Some States do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitation may not apply to you.  

Under no circumstances shall we be liable for any special, incidental, or consequential damages based upon breach of this limited warranty, breach of contract or strict liability.  Some States do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you.  

This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from State to State.  

To obtain warranty service, contact TruRide Tech using the information described at www.ridejetson.com/support. Valid Proof of purchase from an authorized seller and serial number is required to verify eligibility. This warranty coverage does not apply to products originally purchased out of the U.S.A. 

For customers outside of the U.S.A., TruRide Tech will review warranty cases and, if eligible, provide parts or replacement under Warranty and at NO cost to the customer. However, customers are responsible for shipping costs outside of the U.S.A. Some customers residing outside of the U.S.A. may be governed by local consumer protection legislation. 

This warranty supersedes any prior warranty offers, including those printed in product manuals.
