Your product may be covered by warranty as outlined by one of our limited warranty policies.

 

Note that warranty terms and conditions vary dependent on model, as designated by a specific “SKU” number. Prior to reading our warranty policies, determine the SKU of the product in question. (Example: Bolt Electric Bike, Black --> SKU: “JBOLT-BLK”). SKUs are located on a label directly adhered to each product and also printed on its packaging. More guidance on how to find a SKU can be found in this article.

UPDATED LIMITED WARRANTY

 

Covered Products and Warranty Terms. This limited warranty applies to all new and refurbished/certified remanufactured Jetson products with the SKU numbers (or as otherwise identified herein) and terms as follows.

 

  1. Traditional Bikes (Kids & Adults) - The following components are warranted for a one-year term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Gears, Crankshafts, Chains. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein. The covered list of SKU numbers includes:
    • JLRG12 (Light Rider 12, Kids’ Light-Up Bike)
      • JLRG12-GRN, JLRG12-PUR
    • JLRX20 (Light Rider 20, Kids’ Light-Up Bike)
      • JLRX20-BPK-BB, JLRX20-BBL-BB
  2. Electric Bikes - The following components are warranted for a one-year term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Gears, Crankshafts, Chains, Electrical Components. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein. The covered list of SKU numbers includes:
  3. Electric scooters (Kids & Adults) - The following components are warranted for a 180 day term as set forth herein: Frame, Fork/Suspension, Electrical Components. All other parts including but not limited to Wear Parts* And Accessories are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein. The covered list of SKU numbers includes:
    • JCOPHD-BLK (Copperhead Extreme-Terrain Electric Scooter)
    • JERSP-BLG (Eris Pro Electric Scooter)
    • JOMEGA2-BLK (Omega Electric Scooter)
    • JRELAY2-BLK (Relay Electric Scooter)

  4. The following products are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein: Kick Scooters, Hoverboards, Go Karts, Non-Electric Ride-Ons, Kids Electric Ride-Ons. The covered list of SKU numbers includes:

      • All Jetson Accessories, Spare Parts and Replacement Batteries are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein, except that the Jetson Haze Replacement Battery is warranted for a one-year term. Triple8 brand accessories sold by Jetson are not covered by this warranty, but rather they are subject to the Triple8 warranty found here: https://triple8.com/pages/shipping-returns.
      • All Certified Remanufactured Products are warranted for a 90 day term as set forth herein.

       

      *Wear Parts. Parts that wear over time with regular use. Regular maintenance can extend the life of your Jetson product and particularly wear parts, but even so, Wear Parts typically must be replaced at some point. Wear Parts include but are not limited to: Bearings, Bearing, Braces, Tires, Tubes, Saddles/Saddle Coverings, Seats, Brake Pads/Shoes, Pawls, Free Hubs, Wheel Braking Surface, Spokes, Grips, Cables and Housing, Bushings, Kickstand, Bells, Baskets, and Other Attachments.

       

      Any prior warranties offered by Jetson for similar products do not apply to the products with SKU numbers described herein. This Jetson Limited Warranty is a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty and supersedes any prior warranty offers.

       

      Please note: All claims made under this Jetson Limited Warranty will be governed by the terms set out in this warranty document.

       

      Your Jetson covered product (“Covered Product”) is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for the period specified in the list above from the date of original retail purchase (“Warranty Period”) when used in accordance with Jetson’s user manuals (refer to www.ridejetson.com/support). Under this warranty, you will be able to direct your claims to Jetson even in situations where you purchased the Jetson Product from one of our authorized retailers. If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, Jetson, at its option will:

       

      1. repair or replace the Product at no charge using new parts or parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, including directing the customer to return a product to the point of original purchase
      2. provide replacement new parts or parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability, or
      3. refund the original purchase price. This warranty excludes normal depletion of consumable parts such as batteries, tires, tubes, throttles, kickstands, lights and other external accessories or components, unless failure has occurred due to a defect in materials or workmanship, and damage resulting from abuse, accident, modifications, unauthorized repairs or other causes that are not defects in materials and workmanship.

       

      Any limitations of liability in this warranty document shall not apply to:

       

      1. death or personal injury where any applicable law prohibits such limitation;
      2. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
      3. intentional misconduct or gross negligence; or
      4. a culpable breach of major contractual obligations.  A damages claim based on a breach of major contractual obligations or gross negligence will be limited to foreseeable damage typical for the sale contract concerned.

       

      To obtain warranty service, contact Jetson using the information described at www.ridejetson.com/support. Valid Proof of purchase from an authorized retailer and serial number is required to verify eligibility. This warranty coverage does not apply to products originally purchased out of the U.S.A. For all other countries, please contact Jetson Support using ridejetson.com/chat for Out of Warranty options.

       

      When contacting Jetson via telephone, call charges may apply depending on your location. Please contact your network operator for details.

       

      Jetson will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:

       

      1. Mail-in service. If Jetson determines that your Product is eligible for mail-in service, Jetson will send you a prepaid label so that you may ship your Product to a Jetson Return location. Jetson will pay for shipping to and from your location if instructions regarding the method of packaging and shipping the Product are followed. We do not provide packing materials for returned items. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all returns are properly packaged. The customer has 30 days to submit their prepaid package from the date of Jetson’s creation of a prepaid label. Failure to submit the Product within the 30 days will result in the expiry of the prepaid label and the cancellation of the warranty claim. In the event that this should occur, a new warranty claim may be made by the customer.
      2. Do-it-yourself (DIY) parts service. DIY parts service allows you to service your own Product. If DIY parts service is available in the circumstances, the points outlined in section a) – h) below will also apply.
      3. Disposal of Product. Jetson may require that the customer provide proof of disposal of the product in a form as required by Jetson as a condition of receiving a replacement Product or refund.

       

      Jetson will provide warranty service under the following conditions:

       

      1. Service where Jetson requires return of the replaced Product or part. Jetson may require a credit card authorization as security for the retail price of the replacement Product or part and applicable shipping costs. If you are unable to provide credit card authorization, DIY parts service may not be available to you and Jetson will offer alternative arrangements for service. Jetson will ship a replacement Product or part to you with installation instructions, if applicable, and any requirements for the return of the replaced Product or part. If you follow the instructions, Jetson will cancel the credit card authorization, so you will not be charged for the Product or part and shipping to and from your location. If you fail to return the replaced Product or part as instructed or return a replaced Product or part that is ineligible for service, Jetson will charge your credit card for the authorized amount.
      2. Service where Jetson does not require return of the replaced Product or part. Jetson will ship you free of charge a replacement Product or part accompanied by instructions on installation, if applicable, and any requirements for the disposal of the replaced Product or part.
      3. Jetson is not responsible for any labor costs you incur relating to DIY parts service. Should you require further assistance, contact Jetson at the telephone number listed below.
      4. Jetson does not provide return shipping boxes or packaging materials. It is the customer’s responsibility to properly package and ship the Covered Product to Jetson to avoid damage in shipping.
      5. Jetson will not be responsible for shipping costs, in cases where prepaid Mail-In service is not eligible.
      6. Jetson does not cover minor surface blemishes, rips, tears, or other cosmetic damage due to normal use, or other intentional or unintentional damage to the product.
      7. Jetson does not cover products sold second hand, open box, including but not limited to floor models (unless manufacturer’s warranty approved upon date of purchase).  Refurbished/certified remanufactured equipment, equipment sold without a manufacturer’s warranty or sold “as is”.
      8. Jetson does not cover products manufactured more than 2 years prior to claim date (serial number).

       

      Service options, parts availability and response times may vary. If a given service option is not available for the Jetson Product in your location, Jetson or its agents shall notify you of your service options, which may include additional shipping and handling charges. Jetson may at its own option repair or replace Products and parts with comparable Products and parts that comply with local standards.

       

      If any term is held to be illegal or unenforceable, it shall be severed from this warranty and the legality or enforceability of the remaining terms shall not be affected.

       

      For Canadian Consumers: Jetson will review warranty cases and provide parts or replacement under warranty and at NO cost to the customer. However, customers are responsible for shipping costs outside of the US. Residents of Quebec are governed by that province’s consumer protection legislation.

       

       

      Products affected by this warranty may be added or deleted at the discretion of Jetson.






      ORIGINAL LIMITED WARRANTY

       

      Covered Products: This limited warranty applies to new Jetson products excluding Accessories, Spare Parts and Replacement Batteries. This limited warranty does not cover refurbished/certified remanufactured products or products covered under the Updated Limited Warranty, as identified by SKU. Accessories, Spare Parts and Replacement Batteries are covered under the Updated Limited Warranty.

       

      All covered Jetson products under this limited warranty carry a one-year limited warranty policy.

       

      This Jetson One-Year Limited Warranty is a voluntary manufacturer’s warranty.

       

      Please note: All claims made under this Jetson One-Year Limited Warranty will be governed by the terms set out in this warranty document.

       

      Your Jetson product (“Product”) is warranted against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of ONE (1) YEAR from the date of original retail purchase (“Warranty Period”) when used in accordance with Jetson’s user manuals (refer to www.ridejetson.com/support). Under this warranty, you will be able to direct your claims to Jetson even in situations where you purchased the Jetson Product from one of our authorized retailers.       IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR SERVICE.

       

      Jetson may restrict warranty service for products to the country where Jetson or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the product.

       

      Jetson will provide warranty service through one or more of the following options:

       

      1. Mail-in service. If Jetson determines that your Product is eligible for mail-in service, Jetson may send you a prepaid label so that you may ship your Product to a Jetson Return location. Jetson will pay for shipping to and from your location if instructions regarding the method of packaging and shipping the Product are followed. We do not provide packing materials for returned items. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure all returns are properly packaged. The customer has 30 days to submit their prepaid package from the date of Jetson’s creation of a prepaid label.
