The trickiest part of learning to ride a bike is maintaining balance. The Light Rider Jr. takes out all the other complexities so kids can focus on developing that.
A few foot pushes gets the bike moving. A few more lets kids pick up speed. With their feet never too far from the ground, learners always have something to lean on when they feel a little wobbly. And, as their balance develops, riders can hover those feet for a little longer and start to coast on momentum; the plush 12-inch wheels will keep them rolling smoothly. When it's time to stop, those feet do the work, too.

Weighing just over 7-and-a-half pounds, this bike is light enough for young kids to maneuver and achieve some speed. The limited-rotation handlebar has a 135-degree safe steering limit, so turns are gentle and controlled.
